Main & Partners takes on the challenge to visualize MIT Hyperloop, winning university project of the SpaceX Pod Competition 2016. This is how the first phase looks like.
At Main & Partners, we take pleasure in helping businesses and brands visualize their products. We are also engaged in supporting ambitious teams of university students, helping them turn their ideas into reality.
As our studio started at CBS (Copenhagen Business School), we have a thorough understanding and passion for supporting students in bridging the gap between imagination and feasibility. Our previous work includes a range of IT University of Copenhagen and CBS projects. This time, we are proud to share our new visualization project for the MIT Hyperloop.
MIT has a long history of pushing the boundaries of technology, something which deeply resonates with Main & Partners' values.
Main & Partners has taken on the challenge to visualize sophisticated and highly technical MIT Hyperloop design, in a simple, yet captivating manner. Through a constant exchange of ideas and dialogue with MIT engineers, we have combined our CGI rendering and technical expertise to upgrade their technical drawings.
For those who are not familiar with the Hyperloop, this futuristic concept, envisioned by Elon Musk back in 2013, is a revolutionary transportation system that has the potential to fundamentally change the way humans would travel between cities in the near future. The Hyperloop works by creating a partial vacuum inside a giant tube, which allows pods guided by magnets to accelerate without friction to ultra-fast speeds.
MIT’s university team has successfully developed a functional 1/6 scale prototype of their Hyperloop design, which is set to be tested at SpaceX’s Hawthorne HQ in January 2017.
Our studio will continue supporting the MIT Hyperloop Team, including releasing a second phase of new exciting visuals. You can find our second phase here.
