No two clients are the same, nor their needs and brand personalities. At Main & Partners, we take a unique approach to each of our different projects. In this new section, we unveil the insight and intricacies of our creative process.
This week, we’re proud to present our collaboration with contemporary consumer electronics company aëdle. Dive into our latest challenge in which CGI - computer generated imagery - meets craftsmanship.
Good design starts with good dialogue
The point of departure was to get a full insight into our clients' brand language. According to our creative director, ''aëdle's innovative and minimalist character blends into the warm look and feel of its products' organic material. The new 3D renderings needed to show aëdle's DNA while elevating images to a level that traditional photography cannot reach.''

Baptiste Sancho - founder of aëdle - entrusted us in creating visuals that would fully capture the personality of the brand. Open dialogue with the team during the whole process was key.
Getting down to business
At this stage, the technical part of the process came into play. Building on the original CAD files, the most challenging aspect was to model every detail. All the stitching and each single leather wrinkle had to be modeled by hand. The acoustic chamber and the strain relief body were also treated with a high degree of precision for a polished finish.
With the CAD files ready, the rendering process began. Colors, texture, materials, and lighting were carefully created to achieve a seamless composition.
It's a wrap!
This is the end result! CGI images bring to life the minimalist look of the ODS-1 earphones while remaining true to the raw look of the design. But the visual expression of the hyper-realistic imagery is just the tip of the iceberg.
